About Chester Builders
At Chester Builders, we believe great homes are built on more than craftsmanship. They’re built on trust, strong relationships, and attention to detail at every stage.
Based in Nova Scotia, we are a locally owned company known for quality work and a client-focused approach. The inspiration behind Chester Builders came from our vision to build the QEII Grand Prize Cottages at Skipper Hill Estates and Marina, a project that helped shape who we are today.
From the beginning, our work has been recognized with multiple Peak Awards from the Nova Scotia Home Builders’ Association, including Most Outstanding New Home, and we continue to be honoured for the homes we build.
With decades of combined experience in custom homes, renovations, and coastal builds, we bring a thoughtful, hands-on approach to every project. By managing design, planning, and construction under one roof, we ensure a smooth process and consistent quality from beginning to end.
We’re not just building homes. We’re building long-term relationships, trust, and a lasting presence across the South Shore and Halifax.
You Dream it… We Build it
Our Mission
Our mission is to build high-quality homes through a clear, well-managed process that clients can feel confident in from the very beginning. We are committed to strong communication, attention to detail, and delivering a finished home that reflects each client’s vision, lifestyle, and long-term goals.
Our Vision
Our vision is to be a trusted name in home building across Nova Scotia’s South Shore and Halifax, known for thoughtful design, quality craftsmanship, and a consistent, client-focused experience. We aim to create homes that stand the test of time and build relationships that continue long after each project is complete.
What Our Clients Say
Building a home is a big undertaking, and the relationships we build with our clients are just as important to as the homes themselves. Here are a few words from some homeowners we’ve had the pleasure to work with.
Dealing with Christopher and Chester Builders has been a wonderful experience, from the early stages of our home being built to the insightful additions for further development of the property. Any concerns were addressed professionally and promptly. After living in this beautiful home over the ocean, I just recently told Christopher that I wouldn’t change a thing in our home. I’m so pleased that I have now commissioned Chester Builders to build a 3-car garage with a guest carriage home above.
Peter & Tracy
From the very first contact with Chester Builders, we knew we had made the right choice. Every stage of the process was thoroughly explained. Their team has worked alongside us all the way, explaining technicalities and guiding our choices to keep us both on budget and track. The various suppliers they partner with are carefully curated and have been a pleasure to work with too.
With us being UK residents, their project management team have gone above and beyond to make sure we understand local differences and support us in making decisions remotely. We couldn’t be happier with how we have been looked after. With progress pictures and regular communication throughout, we have been able to see our custom home developing beautifully with care and attention to every detail.
